Now "people face a choice" -- oh, do we?!!

Matt Hancock is all over the news today saying the people "face a choice". Ok then, brother, the way we do that in the UK is by putting it to Parliament or by general election. Not by checking whether people obey strict decrees, and meanwhile threatening even stricter decrees. You, sir, have become a silly dictator. You seem to believe you are upholding law, but you are hacking away at the very rule of law.

Imagine a stretch of road where there are accidents, for which reason the speed limit is reset, but at an impractically slow speed never before contemplated, say, 15 mph. What will happen? Many will disobey it; bizarrely some will abide by it. It will be a mess. So Government gets spitting mad: "The people face a choice! If they won't go 15 mph, we will lower the speed limit even further to just 2 mph with gigantic fines for your evil disobedience, you naughty children!" But now thiis will not cause even more failure. It will cause law to fail. It will undermine the social contract. It will lead to very much worse problems. By way of analogy this is happening in reality: Government is actually banning normal good workings of human society. However well-intentioned they act cruelly, without a sense of perspective, and they blame us for their failures!

How do we stop them?

Give us real choice, not derision and abuse!
