This surprises me. The thing only came out today - how can clubs and businesses possibly insist on the use of the NHS app when relatively few have a phone new enough to run it? My phone isn't that old but I get the app (not that I want it).
Oops - mis-typed; should read that I probably can't get the app- and don't want it anyway.

Sadly, i'm not going to pubs at the moment so the app is a mute point for me.
It's not because of covid though. Well, I suppose it is. It's because I'm not wearing a bloody mask.
