The App has been out less than 24hrs but I`m already encountering its mandatory use. For example to take part in childrens football training the FA mandates its use. For entering a library the same. I`m sure the examples will mount up quickly and it will cease to be voluntary. How long before we are locked in our homes without its permission to live?

Oh, I wouldn't worry; we've got a couple of weeks yet before they do that.
Besides, as soon as the vaccine comes along, everything will be just fine.
The government and the sainted NHS will take care of us. They've done a fantastic job so far, after all.
Get rid of your smartphone or leave it at home and take on old with buttons. Good luck with scanning the f@cker on that one. And if they will deny you access to their premises, you can call police and they will have to let you in because it will be discrimination. They can not not let you in if you exempted from wearing of face mask because if they do, it is discrimination and the same is with this.
Example:
The other day I was going to Sainsburrys fuel station. Because I don't wear a mask, I was told to go to the night pay window. When I asked why, I was told because you does not have any face covering. I replied, that I am exempt, but the lady insisted me going to night pay window. I explained her that because I can not put one on and she denying me access to the fuel station, that it is a discrimination act. She laught. I went to speak to manager and since then not just me, but NOBODY have to go to night pay window if they don't wear a face mask.
This madness will continue only for so long till we will be accepting it.
Personally, I love the way that half the shop staff and bus drivers don't wear masks, but we all have to?
Absolutely barmy. But unfortunately not in a good way.
Personally, I'm looking forward to Christmas and police knocking on homes and arresting people during Christmas lunch.
Hi everyone,
I am so glad I found this site, and the very informative articles that are posted.
I really need some advice though. I work for an independent bookmakers. And the NHS App is making it's way here. Our company has been told that it is mandatory, despite us being reclassified as 'non-essential' retail.
As frontline workers, we are being told to collect details off customers. I of course am outraged. And I would really like any advice to see if I can legally refuse to push these draconian measures. As 'non-essential' we have been told that consent is needed off our customers. Though my employers understand that if they refuse to comply with the measures, they will be fined and could be shut down. I would like to know if I can refuse consent to push this...
I have already filed a legal objection to my employer on Data Protection grounds. I did that some weeks back when they decided to volunteer for the measures. In which I removed all material regarding the Test & Trace system from my office, awaiting for a reply which was not forthcoming.
I have gotten exemption from the facemask, legally. I would now love to be able to refuse legally from taking part in the Test & Trace system as a frontline employee.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
For the record, the government have in one swoop, made all retail frontline workers, most on minimum wage, to be enforcers of this Test & Trace app. If it weren't so draconian. you would have to be impressed...
