Our latest 'instruction' (that i shall be ignoring of course) is about parents wearing masks to school drop-off and pick-up even though it's 100% OUTSIDE. In a very small school where you barely have to pass within 10 metres of the next parent at any point anyway and never set foot inside any building. There are already 2 m markings leading all the way to each classroom to ensure parents distance themselves
Obviously i'm just disregarding this with my 'medical exemption' like the rest of the time but surely this is completely contrary to not needing to wear a mask outside especially when distancing.
And first day of it today in just 12 hours after the email came out, 99.9% of parents were complying like sheep to this latest nonsense, i despair!
Such a huge compliance is nothing unusual here in Britain. Most of people here have just a big mouth and no action. Lot of people here like to moan, but don't like to take action against. Great Britain isn't Great anymore !
Regarding this school drop off / pick up point. It mostly depends on the schools head teacher. If he or she likes to keep it tight, or if he or she is a bit like minded like us and will leave it to the grown ups and their responsibility. Sounds like the head teacher at the school where you go likes to keep it tight and maybe even sending suggestion to MP's for further and even more stricter measures. In this case, as teacher like to teach others, I would call for a meeting with the head teacher and try to talk some sense to him or her. It might be tough, might be pointless, but you don't need to pay for trying. There is plenty evidence, that social distancing does not reduce the spread, masks don't reduce the spread and both of these measures actually increase mental damage to children.
