Masks in courtrooms

I will be on jury service soon, so I have checked the law as this would not be a good choice of location to break it. This is dated 14th September:
Court and tribunal users must now wear face coverings in all parts of our buildings in England and Wales (except courtrooms or jury rooms), unless they have a practical reason – exemption - not to. Security Officers have statutory powers to refuse admission or enforce removal of users who refuse to wear a face covering without an exemption.
It seems that this continues to apply during the November lockdown. So it is similar to restaurant requirements prior to lockdown, i.e. no mask when performing the task in hand but mask-up when coming and going.

If you are exempt (masks cause you distress) then can you state this and postpone your service?

The covid act exemption still applies in court.

Well, irony of ironies, I went to jury service today and the trial was called off because the two defendents had covid-19! They had been in contact with someone who tested positive and had since developed symptoms. The trial is adjourned to February. How nice for them to be on the loose over Christmas.
By the way, I was the only juror to claim mask exemption.
