Lockdown 3.0 - have we lost?

Observation today in Warwick & Leamington Spa is that the roads have been significantly busier than they were during the initial 'three weeks to flatten the curve'. Pretty much as per Tier 3, which we were in before Christmas. Lots of people out and about walking or running in the parks because it has been a nice sunny day. Not a police officer to be seen as they do have have *proper* work to get on with. No, we have not lost. It is apparent that numerous people are ignoring the authoritarian 'stay at home' message.

How we can even roll back to any sense of proportion and context being put around bare (faced) data used by the govt to justify their anti-virus measures is actually now beyond me.

At the outset of this virus outbreak last year, first the language used sounded wrong and grated on the ear..."deaths *with* Covid".

It didn't take long to have a look at the data and the explanatory notes which the ONS helpfully put with them to see that there was an immediate counting issue with how the number of "Covid deaths" was being portrayed by govt and media.

It didn't take long to see that we have had previous occurrences, even going no further back than the mid 1970s, of flu viruses which have resulted in tens of thousands of additional deaths.

As deaths *with* this virus subsided, we have subsequently been bombarded, instead, with the number of "cases" identified through mass testing.

We have been forced to bow down before graphs created by Mystic Fergo which have been purposefully used to inject fear into the population.

On the basis of those data, we're having our lives destroyed in order to "save the NHS" because it can't and has never been able to cope with the pressures put on it in winter. This is totalitarian dogma.

I never did see the UK going the way of East Germany or China but now it is upon us.

Lucky then, South Wales police on the news proudly announcing 500+ fines issues last week. Gwent similar.
And the Welsh Government calling for "Enforcement First" approach.

We had them rounding up kids on sledges here last week.
