Anytime speedstick. I have certainly had a roller coaster ride of emotions and disturbed sleep for many months now but chatting at least to others who understand has been a real godsend.
Another post I put on earlier brings attention to the vaccine refuses being blacklisted to share with other countries..likely coming to us any time soon..
I suspect that was the meaning of the good luck wish from someone on here...
It's a never ending task i suspect to keep the numbers of sceptics hidden or in contact hence the complete closures especially the pubs .
Not taken much notice but I suspect the tier 4 crap is even more ludicrous..
😀

look at Wales...
one of the highest infection rates *on earth*, higher R and highest deaths per capita in the UK.

Indeed.
And the weak suffer what they must. Wales has national elections on May 6th. The Tafia (as the Labour incumbents are sometimes known) are getting distressed, they already govern w/out a majority. Most of the worst hit people live in dirt poor, post-industrial shanty towns in the valleys. They have selected a wimpy former Latin teacher as their first minister. The Abolish-the-assembly party is doing quite well in the north, so that's looking good on that front , at least.

The chances of Drakeford allowing elections in May is virtually zero.

He'll want to delay as long as possible so memories fade. He's gambling on a return to semi-normality and people will forget just how dire he is.

I agree but 6 months, which is the maximum they are considering, is not long to allow for memories to fade. I think they are in a pickle.

He has no majority at present.

You'd be amazed (or not) by the utter tribalism.

Despite the longest, toughest restrictions, worst case rate and lowest vaccination rate you STILL see people every day thanking Drakeford for doing a good job and "better than Boris" etc.
He could likely drown some kittens on live TV and a certain percentage will thank him for it.
6 months and semi normal (plus it'll be summer then with low cases) maybe enough to fade memories from the small % swing needed to get him back in.

The other issue in Wales is if its not him you get the ultra-nats instead who are just as bonkers and even more authoritarian.
