The thing is Mike, I saw a poll only yesterday that indicated 47% in favour of lockdown with 52% against. I know that still puts us in the majority but it should be 90% against lockdown. I actually detest the gullible sheeple more than this despicable government.
Just hate the actions, not the people. Bad actions are the result of folly. The solution is to overcome folly. No need to detest or despise. It burns up energy that we could use more beneficially in the campaign against these measures.
I woudn't rely on the polls outcome and I would rather question it's honestness. Do we know who made those polls and how they were managed ?
I feel the same way as SussexFox.
I tried to explain about the possibility of false positives being very high on my local Facebook group, and some people reacted with hostility, one person more or less accused me of wanting to kill the elderly and infirm, I was told I was saying the virus didn't exist, etc.
I don't understand why people react to good news in this way - and if we really are seriously overestimating the number of people infected with covid, that IS good news.
On the other hand, there are some encouraging signs - lots of memes circulating ridiculing the new rules, for example.
I suppose it can't go on forever - but if the theory about false positives is correct, "cases" are going to carry on rising as long as people are getting tested. Then the government will lay the blame for that firmly at the feet of the public, for "not obeying the rules" and will introduce even stricter rules in future.
I empathize entirely with how you feel. I personally felt l was going mad until recently discovered this website and realised l wasn't totally alone after all. However I agree with other replies here, l think in time more sheep will eventually wake up to this utter BS. Remember they have all been terrified to death again, by Huginn and Muninn this week, aka Witty and Vallance. What baffles me beyond all logic, is all these sheep have becoming so scared of dying, that they have given up living, and don't get me started on masks how does any idiot believes that a piece of fabric is going to prevent inhalation of an organism 7 microns in diameter is laughable. Like you l felt like giving up the fight, but then realised l must continue for my granddaughter's sake if nothing else.

Hi, I'm a bit confused about the false positives. On the one hand it's great if the number of cases is overreported. But if reported positivies are increasing exponentially wouldn't that mean that even the "real" positive cases are also increasing exponentially?
