Excellent - thank you for listening
"Stop Press 2: After a lot of pushback from people who post in the comments beneath the Daily Update, we’ve decided to make it possible to still comment there. However, at 6am each day, when the new update is published under “Today’s Update”, the comments posted beneath the previous day’s update will be deleted."
Heartfelt thank you to the team for planning to re-enable comments.
I think deleting comments after a period of time sounds sensible, I can't imagine there will be too many people who want them kept for posterity, although if you look at all the useful links someone like Swedenborg posted over the last year there's plenty of value in there.
A total, total disaster. One can't help thinking the hostility of most BTL comments towards the ATL "vaccines will make you free" editorial line had something to do with this appalling act of vandalism.
Incidentally does everyone posting here on the Forum pages get a message "You've posted successfully but your post won't appear until it's been moderated."? It's really annoying not seeing your post appear immediately and not knowing when it will. Is it just a select few experiencing this added annoyance? Or is everyone put through that as well. Never had this when I commented under general comments.
And what website makes you click on Today's Update to get the latest version? Very odd!
Deleting the comments section is nothing short of vandalism. It is a log of the evolution of lockdown scepticism. The highs, the lows. We've pulled apart every single conference and press release as it happened.
Are they back then?
If so, it's a relief. I didn't post on the comments (took too long to find replies later) but liked to read other people's remarks - the only laughs to be had nowadays.
I signed up to Gab but couldn't find anyone on the LS page although haven't tried for a few hours.
I hate getting used to new stuff!
