So many hypocrites out there. A lot of the Coronazis idiots were having a pop at Capt Tom when he went on holiday recently. I thought the bubble had burst for this amazing man but the sudden outpouring of grief has sickened me. All the “Sleep well wiv ‘da Angels mate” and “rest well Capt” is ridiculous. Just a few short months ago, his generation were “racists, little englanders and scum” but now he can “RIP brave man”.
I’d like to ask where all the money “for the nhs” has gone and who is in charge of it!?!
And for the love of god, quit with the pathetic clapping.
I found out that a mate i worked with killed himself last week. He has 3 young kids and a wife with cancer. He couldn’t cope anymore. Lost his job last year. He’s only 52. Couldn’t get a job with the wage he was on.
Anyone going to clap for him?? Anyone going to say “sleep well wiv ‘da Angels”???? No of course not. He’e expendable you see, he was important when he was paying his way but now he’s been dumped on the scrap heap, no one cares.
This country actually makes me want to vomit. Hypocritical, lazy scumbags.
I feel the same. Every day I hear about people struggling with closure of their businesses, mental health issues with themselves and their children, children falling behind at school and people feeling trapped inside supported housing.
The people clapping are not aware of all the facts. They just have the best intentions and follow the rules because they believe they are part of the war effort against coronavirus.
A lot of keyworkers themselves are insulated to it because they are still able to send their children to school, and are still being paid as usual.
Imagine how quickly schools would be back if they were closed to the children of police officers?
All the money raised when to the NHS Charities as overseen and audited by the Charities commission.
All above board, all public, all transparent.
The clapping nonsense has to stop.
Im wondering when the NHS is going to come out and clap everyone else who have sacrificed every single facet of their lives for a year to "save" it.
In divided societies state institutions practice hypocrisy and double standards routinely because people's positions constitute different needs and interests and yet the institution has to produce the appearance of serving a universal, public, good, in reality, they are usually commandeered by particular groups who pursue their own private agendas merely transposing them into a legitimated form via the institutions. Look at humanities departments in universities if you need any proof.
Nobody, have you read " We have been harmonised: life in China's surveillance state" by Kai Strittmatter?
