I use a couple of online fora. I conclude the people of this country have been so successfully frightened and thus brainwashed that they can no longer think for themselves. If one dissenter pops their head up to say they won’t be following ‘the rules’, an army of sheep come on to say that they will do everything asked of them to keep everyone safe and not spread Covid, calling said dissenter anything from selfish to a murderer. How can we get the truth out there? I honestly don’t know where to start.

As we cannot gather together to protest, we must protest individually.
What I do is to gather salient points, print them out and surreptitiously leave them behind at suitable venues, such as cafes etc (even at a hospital last week!)

They are producing suitable leaflets. I don't know how far they have got yet.
It is quite a challenge to produce something that conveys the key points without too much elaboration, and yet provide a counter to all the specious arguments that the government propagate.

Sadly it is almost impossible to fight against the government and MSM channels message, we are apparently all right wing conspiracy fanatics??
I would just like to ask the sheep this, as UK government advisory scientist John Edmunds has today declared that Covid will be here for 'evermore' coupled with the dire state of the countries balance of payment deficit how do they believe lockdowns are a viable strategy, unless of course they have all accepted that life is over, and they furthermore accept never seeing any of their friends or extended family ever again!!! Perhaps one of the many sheep could also please direct me to the magic money tree that is going to pay for all of these lockdowns.

That's my experience too, and I think you just have to keep plugging away.

I read some of Mike Yeadon's tweets today. He said:

It may sound random, but it’s the ‘get lucky strategy’ I’ve used successfully all my life.

I go for my regular punishment beating on Facebook every night. I try to stay calm. Sometimes I manage it. I try to be consistent and rational, and to use facts and data. I feel like I'm getting nowhere.

But then this morning I got a message on Messenger from some guy I don't know. He's been reading my posts. He's fed up of "them in Cardiff Bay" lying to us. He has a friend with information about false positives in one local health area. So I'm trying to persuade him to persuade her to whistle-blow.

And someone else I don't know stuck up for me on a thread that had got very argumentative. Someone told me I "always have to have the last word" and a lady I don't know said, "So she should: she talks sense". I'm also getting "likes" from strangers.

So when you are engaged in this thankless task, just keep at the back of your mind, you don't know who is reading. Lots of people don't post because they don't want to get involved in argy-bargy, but they can see which person has the logical arguments and the data on their side. Every sceptical post, intelligently argued, is out there doing its work, sowing seeds in the minds of people who only look at the headlines.

As my husband said today, we just need to get the R number above 1, and sense WILL prevail. 😀

I never expect anyone to come to my defence on the forum I use which is just as well because no one ever does.

It came to a head this week as the uncompromising old bag who argues every point with me got really headmistressy, spouting the BBC line and accusing me of all sorts; this was annoying because I have been the one trying to tell people not to be afraid, and to treat the official narrative with circumspection.

Guess who gets all the 'likes'?

I've had enough and have left after 11 years; no doubt old bag reckons she's won, after having given me a bollocking (which also got likes). Didn't want to compromise my dignity by continuing a public spat so let it stick to the wall.
Had a chat with neighbours for first time in months - hoped they would be sceptics but no; when I stated I'd still be teaching piano at home face-to-face no matter what kind of restrictions are imposed, they backed away horrified.
I really, really hope there will be an inquiry after all this, and SAGE and the BBC gets it in the neck for the half- truths they have been telling.
