Talking a leaf out the protest book of the Gilet Jaune, the Yellow Vests, in France why not use a state mandated item as a key element in protesting the incompetence and oppression of an over weeing state.
How much does it cost to get text printed on very light very breathable cotton facemasks?
Nothing confrontational just a statement of the scientific fact that all face coverings and facemasks in general use proved a zero barrier to aerosols that might contains SARs CoV 2.
Like - "N Zero Placebo"

"N0 Facemask Placebo"
Which would be statement of verifiable fact. The facemask N rating would be N0 (zero). The N rating ( a regulatory rating) for simple facemasks and face covering is zero for small < 2 micron aerosols. Which would make them a medical placebo.
As far as I am aware none of the current regulations could be interpreted under Common Law so as to allow the authorities to harasses anyone wearing a facemask that had printed on it its actual N rating and medical classification as to its effectiveness as a therapeutic procedure.
Thinking further on the subject of the actual facemasks as protest medium a simple N0 printed on a yellow facemask might be even better. Or even just yellow facemasks.
The Gilet Jaune have already established the colour yellow as a internationally recognizable colour of protest against state power in the media so maybe just wearing yellow facemasks might be the simplest and most powerful way of showing a person disgust and anger at the current situation.
Wearing a yellow facemask would be a win/win situation as a mode of protest. You dont allow the authorities to define and control the situation. Which is what happens if you protest by not wearing a facemask or have a demonstration. They have all the hard and soft power in those situations. You will lose. But if you wear a yellow facemask the authorities ability to use their overwhelming power to suppress dissent is negated. This is Alinsky 101 tactics.
If yellow facemasks are worn (masque jaune?) there is also the solidarity element. As more people show their disgust at the current situation and wear protest masks people will start realizing they are not alone. Not some tiny minority.
Plus the usual social element of control that is overwhelming at the moment, the anger of the frightened majority at those who "endanger" their health by not wearing facemasks is also negated. Dont underestimate how much of the current government and media control is based on the fear and anxiety of this majority. The pressure of social conformity. Remove that and the authorities have very little leverage, legal or otherwise, at those who protest using yellow facemasks.
I woudn't wear a face masks regardless of the purpose in such a case. Rather go to your local advertiser, for example bus stops advertiser and ask them how much the advertising costs, create a fundraising for it and once reached the amount, get the word out this way. If every town would so this it would be amazing and + you not limited to the size of a mask.

I don't fancy writing a message on my face, so a mask serves adequately for that purpose.
