I'm perplexed by the staggeringly high rolling rate in Sheppey East: 2,275.9 as I write this as reported on the Government website:
https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/interactive-map
It transpires there are three prisons on the island where the infections are running riot (ha!).
A question about the cases being measured on the website: are they measuring new unique cases OR simply recording positive tests? So if I tested positive today but then test positive again in a week, is that one case or two?
I believe that the prison is carrying out regularly testing and if it's the later, then the cases figure is pretty meaningless.
According to here:
https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/about-data#daily-and-cumulative-numbers-of-cases
If a person has had more than one positive test they are only counted as one case.
Thanks for that. Has anyone who has been tested positive twice in short succession got any proof that this actually happens? Not been tested officially but is there a website where you can see the history of your tests?
And I see that the cases in Sheppey East have plummeted since I posted. From 2,842 to 774 in a week.
Thanks for that. Has anyone who has been tested positive twice in short succession got any proof that this actually happens? Not been tested officially but is there a website where you can see the history of your tests?
Most places use a 90 day rule after testing positive before another random screening.
That said, if the results of the first test are inconclusive or near a boundary they'll test again. Same if with symptoms its negative but more symptoms emerge they'll re-rest.
