Did you guys see that EU countries are now even cancelling freight into the UK because of the so-called virulent new strain? How many lives, how many millions of pounds, how many experiences have been lost to the cause of helping 83 year olds live a few more months.

I am seriously thinking now of jumping ship altogether. Holiday resorts in countries that are too poor to inflict lockdown and masks are so cheap I could basically live there for months, and work online. I take the risk of not being able to return to Europe for a long time but ... return to what?

It's reassuring that someone can live like you do - pretty much just ignoring it. Definitely the sensible approach. After 9 months of this I'm starting to be worried about the long term impact on my mental health. But I'm relatively lucky that my family are also quite relaxed about the rules - much luckier than many others whose family or friends have refused to see them...
I totally agree anon1948. I worry for everybody's state of mental health, including my own, this will without doubt eventually lead to the detriment of everybody's physical health, the mind and body are inextricably linked.
Tougher and tougher restrictions will be implemented, travelling outside your local area very likely to be the next thing banned, and very likely will never return, as in Russia.
I seriously cannot believe the sheep cannot see through this, it's utter nonsense, as you rightly identified anon 1948 just to afford the very elderly a few more months of life, and probably poor quality life at that.

Yes the next nail in the coffin no travel only in your immediate area . This has all been planned and the sheep keep following no questions asked. All implemented by madmen. Note the well executed crush to any opposition which includes sackings..taking down anything on the internet against the narrative..discrediting individuals and at protests deliberately inciting violence to justify police brutality with robo cops ( I doubt the average plod would learn these planned strategies so quickly) . Several pick off and jump one person then the others form a ring around them to stop any intervention or filming of the brutality their crime being wanting their protesting voice heard....I cant believe the sheep are the majority.
