They'll probably give it to Susan Commie Michie or Neil Ferguson.

It'll be too late by June to make any odds.

I can't see this being over by June. Yes levels will be MUCH lower because its seasonal but you can guarantee we'll still have one-way systems, masks, Koronastasi if you go to close to someone, perspex screens and other nonsense with no end-date. I really can't see that ending at all in 2021.
There'll be a covid uptick in Autumn (seasonal...) and they'll use that to justify keeping restrictions.
There really is no will or desire at all for anyone in charge to get out of the situation. It suits them to keep it going.

I agree, Splatt. Very sadly.

The problem has always been that Government proposed, MPs consented to, and too few people challenged the premise that Government c law this way. Once the line is crossed, it cannot easily be un-crossed.

I listened to the news at 10pm while washing dishes last night (something I once did regularly, but not since getting sick of propaganda) and I could not believe my ears, liserally hearing a contention from one "expert" interviewee that it is irresponsible for Government NOT to use coercion of law to criminalise non-preferred conduct (non-preferred as opposed to actually deeply wrong in nature, what "criminal" used to mean). The culture is becoming so unfree.

My wife sometimes reminds me that, when the restrictions came in, back in March, I said that if the lockdown lasted more than three weeks there would be a popular revolt. I do badly misjudged our culture, I can hardly believe it. So docile, so subservient, so fearful.

Where is that old fire of spirit? The lion of the soul? I think it is that people have forgotten God and thus their souls. God help us.

It'll be too late by June to make any odds.

The problem has always been that Government proposed, MPs consented to, and too few people challenged the premise that Government can make and use criminal law this way. Once the line is crossed, it cannot easily be un-crossed.

I listened to the Radio Four news at 10pm while washing dishes last night (something I once did regularly, but not since getting tired of the fear and propaganda) and I could not believe my ears, literally hearing a contention from one "expert" interviewee that it is irresponsible for Government NOT to use coercion of law to criminalise non-preferred conduct (non-preferred as opposed to actually deeply wrong in nature, what "criminal" used to mean). The culture is becoming so unfree. That such a contention could be made live on air without the presenter guffawing was shocking. So I guess I've been right to tune out and keep my mind free.

My wife sometimes reminds me that, when the restrictions came in, back in March, I preficted that if the lockdown lasted more than three weeks there would be a popular revolt. I so badly misjudged our culture, I can hardly believe it. So docile, so subservient, so fearful.

Where is that old fire of spirit? Where is the proud and roaring lion of the soul? I think it is that people have forgotten God and their suffering spirits have been terribly weakened. They need to receive true love and believe again. Actually we all do, sceptics too. God help us.
