This is my introduction.

I was previously NOT a lockdown skeptic (actually previously thought y'all were nuts), until about 4 hours ago.

I had to go to Toronto, and was returning home to Halifax, Nova Scotia via New Brunswick/Quebec.

Despite being a Nova Scotia resident and having proof of such, so I should be able to pass through New Brunswick (actually all Canadian citizens have that right), I was given a hard time at the Quebec/New Brunswick border by the power-tripping cop there. He pulled a gun on me and threatened to kill me.

Pretty shaken up, and need to vent. Found this site.

Welcome - but why would it take a bad encounter with a power-crazed cop to make you skeptical?

Anyway, that's awful. I had no idea the borders between provinces were being policed. That is utterly ridiculous. Was this cop from the Quebec provincial police force? They have always had a bad reputation.

But what's all that got to do with lockdowns?

At this time of year, they are trying to catch smugglers, sales tax on booze varies in Canada.
