Love LDS. It’s my daily dose of the news, having dispensed with my subs to The Guardian, New European, Tortoise, NYT and Medium. I know... it isn’t possible to do justice to the personal and intellectual growth the lockdowns have bought about in me, depriving some pretty mediocre and brainless publications of my patronage.
But I do miss the BTL. Where will I find Awkward Git and his FOIAs? And Annie and Granny Slayer and Lisa (formerly) from Toronto and others too numerous to name?
Where else in the whole world can a person hold a vaccine sceptical discussion without having the hard fist of vaccine zealotry hammer down on your head?
I hope if there’s somewhere else to comment, where everyone is, someone points me there. If not, I hope the gang can use this forum to reunite and comment like we used to do.
It seems to be back (after some protest) but it's a bit of a faff finding it.
You have to scroll to the very end of the ATL articles and look for the red button marked Today's Update, and the comments are somewhere at the end.
Some have gone to Gab and Reddit.
Problem is there are several "todays discussions" -not just one -so you would need to be constantly moving from one discussion to another.
