Are china playing the long game? They're doing so well out of this.
Or is it just general evil opportunists all over the globe each with their own agenda grabbing at power and wealth as if it is falling out of the sky.
We sceptics are being gas lit on such a big scale.
For almost a year i have been feeling very unsettled, the sensation that there is so much evil power at work here. I have always been sceptical. I never dreamed when this all started it would play out the way it has, like a horror film. I started to delve into it and was shocked at what I found, the conspiracy theories are too much to contemplate. I am trying very hard not to think about those, or to think we are heading towards a world of overlords and slaves.
The mass censorship across the board is so disturbing as is the dismantling of democracy. It also feels strange to be part of a hated minority (the sceptical minority). I often get overwhelmed by feelings of helplessness and powerlessness.
We are being assaulted from all angles, I cannot see it in any other way apart from it being a war.
If it is a war and we are the resistance, and I know it is a big if how do we join up with all the other sceptics that exist and galvanise our power for change? Even if we are not at war, it would make me feel better to know we were all united in some way, resisting together, because I do believe now there are a lot of us now dotted all over.
There are a lot of individuals and groups doing their own sceptic thing - journalists, collectives, MPs, protest groups....we need an umbrella group so that we can really start to push back.
Push back using our buying power, push back against the totalitarianism, the endless new laws, what they're doing to our kids, come together to educate the brainwashed, rescuing people trapped in care homes (old and young), reaching out to isolated people....
I don't want to just sit here confined to my house feeling like I need to do something. I want to do something. I feel like we all need to mobilise now.
On a practical level with all the censorship going on, there needs to be some sort of back up where we can all remain linked up if websites like this one are taken down.
I know I sound like a nutter. Paranoid? Perhaps I'm taking this too far. Also I think too much. I have an overactive imagination. Maybe it's all beginning to get to me! Do I just need to get off my phone and stop thinking about it?

I echo your thoughts and have the same feelings every day.
But, do not forget that people here are interested in fact, data, evidence, proportion, reason and context as well as rights, fairness and openness.
The govt, SAGE and their supporters in the media (together with those they have stoked up on social media) have been shown already to be selective, manipulative, coercive, secretive, incoherent, biased, inaccurate, arbitrary, unreasoned, dogmatic and authoritarian.
Don't forget either that no one here is reaponsible for the fact there is a virus.
No one here is responsible for the govt's handling of it.
No one (I assume) here is responsible for the SAGE's repeatedly exaggerated claims.
No one here is reponsible for the state of the NHS, it's funding, its management, its resources or staffing.
No one here is responsible for the viable and longstanding business which have been FORCED to fail, the loss of jobs, suicides, missed cancer treatments, mental health problems and deaths caused by the govt's handling of this.
Don't forget despite there being a "lockdown" there are many millions more people - minimum wage, working class people - who are quite rightly still going out to work each day in order to feed themselves and their families than there will ever be on this forum arguing against lockdown.
So despite "the lockdown" when cases continue to rise (as mass testing for an endemic virus will surely cause), and despite an increasing scaremongering and violently enforced set of laws, and despite various vaccines it won't be people here who are responsible when the NHS still cannot cope.
It won't be people "breaking the lockdown" it will be the fact that lockdown in this form plus testing doesn't have any net positive effect.
The jury is of course out on the vaccines.
Chocolate Malteser you are absolutely right. If this site gets taken down then what. How do we begin to find each other again? What you say is true and a solution does need to be found..the problems getting on here the other day by many people just show you that overnight what can happen so I dont think you are being paranoid but realistic..

Discord server maybe? They're easy to set up and can be opened up as quickly as they're closed down again. They're also invitation only.
