If they are really going to do it it will be more likely to be in an informal way (businesses and shops will start asking for it as a condition of entry, etc).
Surely that opens them up to potential discrimination cases and so on?
Many thanks for the replies.
I appreciate that vaccination passports are inevitable when it comes to international travel. There is a logic to that.
My principal concern, however, is whether businesses such as restaurants, theatres, football stadia et cetera have the right to ask for information about my medical history, namely vaccinations. I've never needed to show my papers in order to dine in a restaurant. Why should it now be necessary?
That, to me, is truly Stasi-like in its significance. Can businesses really assume that I am a walking vector of disease without evidence to the contrary?
Once the majority of people have had the vaccine, surely the prevalence of the virus will diminish precipitously? So what would be the point of distinguishing between the clean and unclean?
I recognise that I'm now lurching into the realm of speculation, but the very thought of a restaurant or a department store (if any survive this crisis) demanding to see my vaccination passport incenses me. And likely most of the population.
I note that talk of T-cell immunity has gone very quiet in the press (but hopefully not the research) as it’s presumably not deemed as good as the vaccine?
If people can prove they have T-cell immunity (via testing) then surely they shouldn’t be coerced into taking a vaccine if they have doubts about side effects?
I’m vaccinated to date and am happy to take the vaccine - after the usual 10 year study.
It seems people have been brainwashed into thinking vaccination is the only way out of this and any collateral damage is justified.

Vaccines also produce a robust T cell response.
They're the same thing regardless of how you get it. So no, they havent gone anywhere. Its still likely the major protection mechanism against this virus, especially the younger generation.
