Noting the govt's intention to "get the army" in to deal with logistics and get the vaccines to where they need to be across the country, I wonder how many private logistics businesses have been asked or are indeed already working with the govt to do this.
I recall going back some months, that the logistics and road haulage businesses had been severely hampered by the lockdown restrictions last year as normal trade diminished due to shops and other businesses being forced to close.
Given (at least it doesn't appear to me) that the army is regularly called on to move medicines across the country (I'm assuming the NHS has private contractors for this) how much has the govt thought to help existing logistics businesses get back on their feet by assisting with distributing the vaccine?
